    Description

    Yet another treasure from the workshop of the E. F. Caldwell Co of NYC. Described by Caldwell (in an original Caldwell invoice that is included with the sale) as "Book-Ends, Wedgwood medallions in black, metalwork in antique gilt...".  A little over 4.5" in height, 4.5" wide, 4" deep. Fully signed in Caldwell's script signature. If you know quality and you know E. F. Caldwell, then you know this is a fantastic set. If you don't know Caldwell...you should. Invoice is dated December 12, 1941, just 4 days after Roosevelt declared war on the Axis powers.
